Ignored IPs

Automatically suppress port scan issues for known-safe IP addresses.

Open Ignored IPs Settings →

The Ignored IPs feature lets you suppress all port-related issues for specific IP addresses. When you ignore an IP, any future port scan detections for that address are automatically marked as ignored rather than requiring manual review.

When to use ignored IPs

Common scenarios:

  • Shared hosting IPs — IP addresses shared with other customers where you don't control the open ports
  • CDN edge nodes — Cloudflare, AWS CloudFront, or similar CDN IPs that expose standard ports by design
  • Known infrastructure — IP addresses for services you manage and have intentionally exposed (e.g. a bastion host with SSH open)

How it works

  1. From the Issues page, select port issues for an IP address and choose Ignore all port issues for this IP
  2. The IP appears on the Settings → Ignored IPs page
  3. Future scans that detect open ports on this IP automatically create issues in "Ignored" status
  4. Existing issues for the IP are not retroactively changed — only future detections are affected

Managing ignored IPs

Navigate to Settings → Ignored IPs to view all currently ignored IP addresses. Each entry shows:

FieldDescription
IP AddressThe ignored IPv4 or IPv6 address
Ignored ByEmail of the user who added the ignore rule
ReasonUser-provided reason for ignoring
Date AddedWhen the IP was added to the ignore list

Removing an ignored IP

Click Remove next to any IP address to stop suppressing future port issues. Removing an IP:

  • Does not change existing ignored issues for that IP
  • Means future port detections will require manual review again
  • Takes effect on the next scan

Permissions
