Audit History
Track every modification, scan, and change across your DNS infrastructure with a complete audit trail.
The Audit History section keeps an audit trail of everything that happens across your DNS infrastructure. Every scan and every detected change is recorded, for security reviews, compliance reporting, and troubleshooting.
It's split into three pages, each covering a different aspect of the audit trail:
- Scan History — shows every scan conducted across your infrastructure with change summaries
- Change Detection Log — a chronological record of every change detected, including changes made outside DNS Watchdog
- DNS Health History — how your DNS health grade has trended over time, and what moved it
How they relate
The logs work together to give you a complete picture:
- Scan History shows when scans ran and how many changes were found
- Change Detection Log shows what changed — click "View results" on any scan to see its changes
- DNS Health History shows how it added up — the grade trend over time and the events behind each move
Together, they answer questions like "What changed overnight?", "Who triggered that rescan?", and "Why did my grade drop last week?".
Domain Cleanup
Ask each brand's manager which of its domains are still needed — every domain gets a keep-or-release suggestion from its type and your domain policy, the brand manager confirms each one, and the domains they release are listed for you to let lapse.
